If a full crew is not at the rink 20 minutes prior to game time, one of the officials at the rink must contact the assignor so a replacement can potentially be found.
  • If you work a game that involves an official not showing (no-show) you may be entitled to no-show pay. To qualify you must contact the assignor to report which officials are at the rink.
  •

    • No-shows and Lates are treated very seriously and will not be tolerated.
      • Refereeing hockey is considered a JOB and not a hobby
      • Not reporting a no-show is also a disciplinary offense

    • If you think you may be running late for a game contact your assignor and the rink to notify you are coming. (Providing you are there before game time)  This will save you being fined for a late charge.

    • Make sure to consult the (See the Discipline Section of this website for full details on fines/consequences for Lates and No-shows
